RevMan 4.3 is a special version for use by staff in editorial offices (or editorial teams). Only those who have been instructed to use it by their Review Group Coordinator, the IMS developers, or a member of the IMS support team should be using this version.

Full version: revman43.exe - do not install over RevMan 4.2.x - it is recommended to use the install location suggested by the installer.

Update: revman43update.exe - patch for previous versions of RevMan 4.3. Cannot be used to update RevMan 4.2.x.

Use Help > About... to check what version you have.

• Status of reviews (active, withdrawn, inactive) is available on the Check out screen.
• Because RevMan can now open files with the extension r4x, it is possible to check out a review from the web interface of Archie and open it in RevMan in one single step.

• When a review is checked out from Archie, the contact details from Archie now always owerwrite the contact details in RevMan - it no longer looks at the date edited.
• Fixed a bug causing text links with non-English characters in front of a space, e.g. Mäkelä 2005, to turn into plain text when transferred to Archie.

• Fixed a bug when you tried to import review versions that hasn't been into Archie yet.
• Fixed a problem preventing non-administrator users from changing settings in RevMan and RevMan Analyses under Windows XP.
• Improved import of rm4 files that contain contact details where the name matches but the contact id doesn't. Now you can see the changes in contact details.

• Delete reviews when checked in. Option under Settings: General - THIS IS ON BY DEFAULT.
• Identify server. The server is listed on Check out window and after Check in.
• Test connection to server. Under Settings:Server.
• Read only (R/O) clarification. It is now clearer that R/O is also a way of 'Get'ting a review.
