2. Change to date and location of 'Introduction to new Cochrane Handbook Methods and RevMan 5' workshop for Australian authors
The 'Introduction to new Cochrane Handbook Methods and RevMan 5' workshop, which was announced in the last IMS Bulletin, will be held in Sydney (not Melbourne) on 5 (not 7) December 2007. The date and location of this workshop has been updated on the Cochrane website.2. Archie registrations
When you initiate the process of setting up an Archie account (on the Settings tab of the person's Properties, click Create User Account...), the person must respond within two weeks to the email that is generated. If they don't respond within two weeks, their registration will expire.
3. RevMan 5 rollout and implementation strategy: updated version
Five CRGs will now be part of the RevMan 5 pilot submission (Acute Respiratory Infections, Anaesthesia, Methodology, Neonatal and Pregnancy and Childbirth). We have therefore corrected the number of pilot CRGs in the RevMan 5 rollout and implementation strategy document. You can access the latest version at www.cc-ims.net/RevMan/RevMan5/.
4. RevMan 5 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The RevMan 5 FAQ has now been finalised and uploaded to www.cc-ims.net/RevMan/RevMan5/FAQ. The FAQ has been developed in response to questions from Review Group Co-ordinators about the release of RevMan 5. If you have an important question that is not currently included in this FAQ, please contact your IMS Support person.
5.Questions of the week
Question: Should I delete Inactive protocols?
Answer: You can delete Inactive protocols. However, once you have deleted the protocol, you cannot reinstate it. We therefore suggest that you don't delete them at the moment in case you need to refer to them in the future.
