1. Reminders
(a) Tips and checks for module submission on 23 May 2007
Before finalising your module submission, please remember to read pages 30 and 31 of the Phase 2 User Guide (http://www.cc-ims.net/Projects/newIMS/phase2/Phase2-User-Guide.pdf) on 'Preparing your quarterly module submission to The Cochrane Library'. If you have any queries about your module submission, please contact your IMS Support person.
(b) Republishing the module text
Please remember that, like reviews, you must run the Publication Wizard if you would like to publish a new version of the module text or would like to update the contact details published in The Cochrane Library for your Group.
(c) RevMan 4.3
Please remember that you should no longer be using the beta version of RevMan 4.3. To check which version you are using, go to Help > About. The version number of the latest version is 4.3.1, dated 13 November 2006. To download the full version or update your current version, go to www.cc-ims.net/RevMan/RevMan4.3
2. Preparing PDF files of reviews and publication forms
At the moment, the most efficient way of preparing PDF files of reviews, and the publication forms that authors have to sign before their reviews can be released for publication, is by printing from RevMan to pdfFactory. Several years ago, the Nordic Cochrane Centre acquired licences for pdfFactory (ver1.65) so that all CRGs could install it. If your CRG editorial office does not already have pdfFactory, please contact your IMS Support person.
3. Question of the week
Question: I remember being told that we should include the Art. No. and the DOI information when citing Cochrane reviews. Where can I find instructions on where and how to enter this information?
Answer: You can find the relevant instructions in the RevMan Help file in the latest version of RevMan 4.3 (Help > RevMan help > How to store different types of references). We also provided detailed information on how to cite Cochrane reviews within Cochrane reviews in the IMS Bulletin (No. 45) - see www.cc-ims.net/Projects/newIMS/Bulletins/bulletin-no.45-9-november-06.htm
