1. Latest Archie deployment
A new version of Archie was deployed on Friday, 11 August 2006 and includes the following:
- a new Wizard to allow you to republish reviews with new publishable contact details collectively rather than individually (remember to use the Report within the Wizard to check the differences before republishing);
- a function to allow you to compare contact details included in a review with those maintained in Archie (right-click review and choose Reports > Compare Contact Details);
- updates to the review validation feature in Archie which now reports as errors a Full Review without a Plain language summary and a Review or Protocol with an additional figure that is not linked to the text.
For full details of the updates and bug fixes, go to Help > What's New.
2. Reminder: tips and checks for module submission
Before finalising your module submission, please remember to read pages 30 and 31 of the Phase 2 User Guide on 'Preparing your quarterly module submission to The Cochrane Library' but note that (as mentioned above) instead of republishing reviews individually when updating the contact details of Contact authors for publication, you can now use the new Review Contact Details Wizard instead. As a reminder, the Phase 2 User Guide is available as a PDF from the IMS website at: www.cc-ims.net/Projects/newIMS.
3. Module submission deadline
The submission deadline for Issue 4, 2006 of The Cochrane Library is 24 August at 0700 UTC (Co-ordinated Universal Time) - see http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock. Your local time should be shown in Archie (under Organizer).
4. Question of the week
Question: Can we change the status of a previously published Protocol from Inactive to Active?
Answer: Archie will allow you to do this at the moment but only after you have 'marked' the Protocol as a substantive update, by changing the date of last substantive update in the RevMan file. It is important to note that when you change the Protocol's status to Active from Inactive, the latest version will automatically be marked for publication.
