1. RGC User Guides
The User Guide for Managing Contact Details during Phase 1 of the IMS has now been posted on the IMS website at www.cc-ims.org/Projects/newIMS/RGC_User_Guide_Phase_1.pdf. There is also a link from the Help file in Archie. If you cannot find the answer to your questions in this Guide or the Help file, please contact your IMS Support person.
We are currently working on a User Guide for Phase 2 users.
2. Update on CRG moves to Phase 2
Fifteen CRGs will be publishing their modules next week through Archie. We have been in touch with most of the RGCs of the other CRGs we support to discuss suitable dates for their move to Phase 2.
The move to Phase 2 involves a 2-day visit by your IMS Support person to train you in the use of Archie to help you manage your reviews on a day-to-day basis and publish your module. If your IMS Support person has arranged a visit to your office to move you to Phase 2 before the Colloquium, please remember to register for the Advanced workshop for Phase 2 Super Users.
3. For Phase 2 Users
(a) Republishing reviews with a change to author's contact details
Remember you have to republish a review through Archie if you want to publish a change to an author's contact details. The simplest way to do this is to run the Publication Wizard in Archie and check the box on the opening screen of the Wizard to assign the updated contact details in the contact database to the publication. You can check that the correct contact details will be published by using the View button, which also allows you to check that the byline matches the list of author roles.
(b) Creating a line break instead of a paragraph in the module text
To create a line break when editing your module text in Archie, use Shift-Enter.
4. Question of the week
(a) Question: How can I create an icon on my Desktop to allow me to go straight to Archie's login screen?
Answer: Drag the icon in front on the address for Archie in your Internet Explorer to your Desktop.
