1. Presentation of names in Archie
When entering names in Archie, there are three fields to complete: 'First', 'Middle' and 'Family'. The 'Middle' field, which is not compulsory to complete, should only contain the initials of the person's middle name or names. If an author wants their middle name published as well as their first name, or s/he is known by their middle name and therefore prefers to use the initial for their first name followed by their full middle name, then enter their middle name in the 'First' field after their first name or initial.

For Phase 1 Users
- Resolve Duplicates Wizard: Secondary addresses for the duplicate are transferred to a note when a duplicate is resolved.
For Phase 2 Users
- Review Publication Wizard: The Review Publication Wizard now has an option for authors' contact details to be updated if the details in Archie have been revised since the last publication and are therefore more recent than the ones currently published.
- Publication Report: Byline and date version created are included in the report. Substantively updated reviews are no longer listed under Updated reviews. They have their own heading in the report.
- Search by publication status: It is possible to search for documents by publication status, i.e. 'Not published', 'To be published', 'Published' and 'To be republished'.
- Topics List: The topics list is limited to five levels and links to reviews can only be made at the lowest level. The screen for linking reviews is larger and makes it easier to pick the right review. Document Roles linked to specific addresses: A document role can be linked to a specific address within a person's Properties, which the publication wizard uses to include in the published version.
3. Questions of the week
(a) Question: What should I do if I forget my password for Archie?
Answer: If you are not the Super User, inform the Super User of your Primary entity who will be able to create a new password for you in Properties > Settings > 'Edit user account...' . If you are the Super User, contact your IMS Support person.
(b) Question: Can I print the Messages in Archie?
Answer: Yes. You can print a message by opening it and then right clicking on the mouse while it is placed inside the message window. This will bring up the Internet Explorer browser menu, from which you can select 'Print'. This will print the open window rather than the full screen.
