1. Another way to create an icon on your Desktop

In the Bulletin of 19 August 2005, we described how you could create an icon on your desktop to allow you to go straight to Archie's login screen. We received another suggestion from an RGC on how to do this: open Archie login screen, right click in it and create a short cut from the menu. Thanks for this tip, Kate.

2. For Phase 2 Users: Contact details

Remember that contact details stored in reviews are not modified inside the review in Archie even if the person's details are modified in Archie. The latest contact details from Archie are only included with a review version when you check it out to RevMan 4.3 or you decide to change them before publishing or republishing a review. This means that if you want to update a person's contact details for publication in The Cochrane Library, you must republish the Review(s) as part of your module submission even though no changes have been made since the Review was first published. Jacob provided guidance on 19 August 2005 on how to identify your published authors whose contact details have been revised since your last module submission. To make it easier for us to identify the authors with changes to their contact details and the reviews which need to be republished, the team in Copenhagen are currently working on developing a Wizard to help us when preparing our November 2005 module submission.
