Firefox compatibility
Archie now also works with the Firefox browser. This page lists the known quirks or limitations.
Search
-
When you begin entering a new search string in the Quick Search box, Firefox generates a pull-down list of suggestions, based on previous input. If you are on the Search tab when doing this, and use the keyboard to navigate in the suggestion list, your key presses are simultaneously reflected in the list of search results. Pressing Enter to accept the suggestion, will also open the currently highlighted result.
If you have not included archie.cochrane.org in your list of allowed sites (Tools > Options... : Contents - Allowed Sites), this will instead trigger a popup-blocker message.
Module editor
- Limitations on the use of Backspace and Delete.
- Limited Undo functionality.
Interface
- In the Messages window, the button to open the linked resource, eg 'To entity...' is compressed vertically, making it unreadable.
